Something incredible is happening in Cicero and people are taking notice.

From recent news coverage highlighting Town of Cicero President Larry Dominick and the Board of Trustees' Tree Planting Program, to this past weekend where Cicero District 99 proudly made headlines planting new trees at Unity Junior High School — one thing is clear: Cicero is investing in its future.

And that same opportunity is available to YOU. We've been receiving an overwhelming number of calls asking how residents can get a tree planted in front of their home. The answer is simple (and even better), it's completely FREE.

If you don't currently have a parkway tree, the Town of Cicero will plant one for you at no cost. This initiative is part of a larger effort to beautify our neighborhoods, improve air quality, reduce heat, and create a healthier, more vibrant community for generations to come.

Trees do more than look beautiful. They clean the air we breathe, cool our streets during hot summers, help manage stormwater, and enhance overall well-being. This is about more than planting trees — it's about strengthening our community.

If you want a tree planted at your address, here's how to get started:
📧 Email: amarquez@thetownofcicero.com
📞 Call: (708) 656-8223 ext. 728

Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, and email address. You will also have to confirm that you are the property owner AND will assist with initial care & watering.

Tree selection will be based on availability and to ensure a diverse, healthy canopy throughout Cicero.

This is your chance to be part of something bigger — a greener, healthier Cicero. Don't miss it.
